Project Coordinator, Early Childhood Inclusion Center of Excellence

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for the Center for the Young Child’s Early Childhood Inclusion Center of Excellence. OCALI offers a competitive salary, benefits, and retirement package.

This position will execute administrative duties to ensure the Early Childhood Inclusion Center of Excellence is well-organized and runs smoothly. Daily requirements will vary widely; including ensuring the management of deadlines and workflow, coordinating ordering and dissemination of materials and equipment, scheduling meetings and appointments, drafting reports and other documents, coordinating communication and collaboration within OCALI and with outside partners, and tracking the status of deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in project coordination
  • Experience in coordinating teams and clients smoothly and efficiently
  • Proven ability to perform tasks independently and in a team setting, working with diverse people and projects
  • Demonstrates accuracy, proficiency, and responsiveness with written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize between multiple and changing daily tasks, while effectively managing short, mid- and long-term projects and meeting deadlines
  • Mindset to approach situations and challenges with flexibility while maintaining a positive outlook
  • Experience and proficiency with technology applications (including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, etc.), Mac-based operating systems, project management systems, and online environments
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and programs as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
  • Experience working with young children and/or families

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement
  • Effectively manage Center of Excellence deliverables independently and collaboratively with Program Director and Center for the Young Child team members
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope or timeline to achieve optimal results
  • Work collaboratively across and within the Center for the Young Child, OCALI IST, and MarCom teams to deliver on organizational priorities
  • Develop and maintain project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones
  • Serve as a point of communication between internal team members and external resources and stakeholders
  • Deepen partnerships with outside resources, including cross-sector early childhood professionals, state leaders, and family members
  • Track, document, and communicate proactively on status of projects; Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues and risks and problem solve potential solutions
  • Support organizational commitment to develop accessible materials and provide an accessible environment and experiences for our staff and partners
  • Other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time

Salary:

Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule
